I've been making cold remedy "shots" like this, but never with tumeric, so I love this addition. I also crush a few fresh garlic cloves and add them in, which is intense but effective- all the more reason I love the idea of a tonic- it goes down a lot smoother (with some water) than the potent shots. Thanks for sharing!

I replaced the cayenne with cinnamon. Used stevia for sweetness. Added an orange peel to the warm water for a nice cinnamon orange flavor. Tastes like orange spice tea with a tangyness that is pleasant. Definitely will be a perminant addition to my morning. Hoping to reduce my waistline!

Where could I get turmeric? Is there a certain kind? Can I find it on Amazon or grocery store? And is it apple cider vinegar that you could find in your pantry or is it a different type and which would be the best? In order for you to get the best benefits of this recipe do you need to make sure the ingredients are completely pure or can any I find work?
