It’s our two-year wedding anniversary and that calls for a celebration! This year we celebrated by visiting a local berry farm which became the inspiration for this latest addition on the blog: 5-minute blackberry milkshake. Creamy and dreamy, you won’t be able to put this stuff down.
Just look at that gorgeous colour!! Courtesy of blackberries handpicked at the farm. The farm had everything from strawberries to blueberries to raspberries to blackberries. There was a cute market where you could purchase their berries or you could grab a bucket and pick your own. Obviously we picked our own and obviously we picked all four types of berries! After we were done, we indulged in some amazing treats at their cafe including blackberry milkshakes. It was love at first taste. I blown away.
Once we got home, I started to crave that blackberry milkshake again. I just needed another fix. I also had a pound of freshly picked blackberries staring me in the face. So, it made perfect sense (and the best way to use up our handpicked blackberries) to try to whip up a batch of purple milkshakes at home. The attempt was a huge success and the result may even be better than the original!
