Easy 2-Ingredient Turkey Gravy

Introducing the easiest 2-ingredient turkey gravy you can ever make. This silky smooth gravy takes less than 10 minutes to prepare using turkey drippings from turkey that you are cooking anyways, whether it's a whole bird or just the breast or legs. Plus, you don't need to wait hours until your homemade turkey stock is ready, because you don't need any here. It's literally the easiest fool proof way to make turkey gravy.

Ingredients

So I wasn't kidding when I said that there are only 2 ingredients in this recipe. All you need are:

• turkey drippings - this is everything that's left in your roasting pan after you cook your turkey including fat, bits of meat, and even any bits of vegetables that you roasted with (sometimes garlic or onions).
• all-purpose flour - this is what will thicken up your gravy in that beautiful smooth and creamy consistency that we love.

You are going to need a 8:1 ratio of drippings to flour. I used 2 cups of turkey drippings from my slow cooker turkey breast and ¼ cup of flour. I typically use all the drippings I have, and then adjust the flour to get the correct ratio.

How to Make Easy 2-Ingredient Turkey Gravy

It also is quite simple to prepare this turkey in just 5 minutes. First, you want to pour the turkey drippings through a fine mesh sieve and into a small cooking pot. This is to remove any little chunky bits from the drippings or small vegetables that you may have cooked the turkey with.

Then, add flour and whisk to combine. Make sure the flour is fully dissolved. Transfer the pot to the stove and heat over medium heat for 3-4 minutes, continuously stirring until gravy is thickened. Drizzle gravy over turkey and serve.

Turkey Gravy with Stock vs. No Stock

When I am roasting a whole turkey, I tend to make a classic turkey gravy using turkey drippings and homemade turkey stock, since I can easily make the stock using the turkey neck and giblets, while I am roasting the turkey. But when I am making turkey breast or turkey legs, then this is my go-to gravy to make, since there is always lots of turkey drippings to turn into a delicious and easy gravy. Especially if I am making slow cooker turkey breast, the quantity of drippings are kind of unbelievable. There is a LOT.

Tips for Storing Turkey Gravy

• How to store: Store leftover gravy in an airtight container for up to 3 days in the refrigerator.
• How to reheat: Reheat in a saucepan on medium-low until and add water, a tablespoon at a time, until desired consistency is reached.
