Tomato bruschetta with balsamic glaze is an easy Italian appetizer topped with tomatoes, onions, garlic, basil and olive oil. Delicious, fresh and simple.

INGREDIENTS

tomatoesred onion –  garlicbasil leavesolive oilsalt and pepperbalsamic vinegarItalian bread or French baguetteolive oil –  garlic powder

Toss to combine tomatoes, red onion, garlic, basil, olive oil, salt and pepper. Refrigerate 1 hour.

In a small pot, bring balsamic vinegar to a boil over medium heat. Cook for 4-5 minutes until  sauce is reduced by half. Set aside to cool.

Combine olive oil and garlic powder. Brush it on top of each of the baguette slices. Toast in a 350F preheated oven for 10 minutes.

Top each toasted slice with a spoonful of the tomato mixture. Drizzle the balsamic glaze on top and serve.
