Description

Homemade Spicy Mayo is creamy and tangy with the perfect amount of zing — and easy to make at home in 5 minutes with a handful of ingredients! This sauce is a universal, do-it-all condiment that adds a delicious kick to just about anything, from burgers and fries to tacos, stir-fry, sandwiches, salad dressings, sushi, seafood, and more.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice, freshly squeezed
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon sriracha or hot sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon black sesame seeds (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a small mixing bowl, stir together the mayonnaise, lemon juice, sesame oil, and hot sauce until smooth.
  2. Transfer to a serving bowl and serve on the side of fries, sushi, or fried bites, if desired.

Notes

How to store: Transfer the spicy mayo to an airtight container or jar with a lid and refrigerate for up to 30 days.

How to freeze: It’s not recommended to freeze spicy mayo (or mayo of any kind, really) because the texture will change when it thaws, but if you really need to freeze it, you can place the spicy mayo in a freezer-safe container, leaving room for it to expand, and freeze it for up to 3 months.
