Description
Quick easy roasted garlic green beans are tangy, sour, savoury, and sweet, with a tender and crunchy texture. Make them in the oven or air fryer in minutes.
Ingredients
- 1 lb. green beans, washed and trimmed
- 1 tablespoon garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon balsamic vinegar
- 1 teaspoon soy sauce
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper (or to taste)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375 F (or preheat air fryer to 350 F).
- Wash and trim the green beans, then dry them with a paper towel. Place them into a large mixing bowl and add all remaining ingredients. Toss to combine.
- Roast in the oven: Transfer the green beans onto a quarter sheet baking pan and spread them out evenly. Bake for 15 minutes until tender, but still crunchy.
- Cook in the air fryer: Transfer the green beans into the air fryer basket and cook at 350 F for 10 minutes until tender, but still crunchy. Shake the basket halfway through cooking.
Notes
How to store: Store green beans in an airtight container for up to 4 days in the refrigerator. Reheat in a 300F preheated oven or air fryer for 5-10 minutes, until warmed through.
How to use the sauce: The balance of tangy, sour, savoury and sweet flavours in the sauce make it an excellent choice to use for any roasted vegetable such as brussels sprouts, potatoes, butternut squash and more.
How to add toppings: These green beans are delicious just the way they are. You could also add some toppings if you please. Some great options are crushed peanuts or pecans, and crispy bacon.
