This warm baked Crab Dip is a creamy, cheesy, and flavorful appetizer that’s perfect for any occasion. Melted cheese, chunks of sweet, tender crab meat, and a creamy base to hold it all together make this seafood dip unbelievably delicious. Ingredients

  • 12 ounces cream cheese (1 1/2 cups), softened
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons sour cream
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded, divided
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire Sauce
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 2 tablespoons green onion, finely chopped (plus more for garnish)
  • 1 1/2 cups lump crab meat, canned or fresh


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375F.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, add cream cheese and stir well or beat with a stand mixer until smooth.
  3. Add mayonnaise, sour cream, and 1/2 cup cheddar cheese. Mix well until evenly combined.
  4. Stir in garlic powder, paprika, Worcestershire sauce, lemon juice, salt, pepper and green onion.
  5. Add crab meat and toss until evenly combined.
  6. Transfer the mixture into a 1-quart casserole dish and top with the remaining 1/2 cup cheddar cheese.
  7. Bake for 20 minutes until melted cheese is bubbly.
  8. Garnish with green onions and serve with French baguette slices or crackers.

Notes

How to store: Cover tightly or transfer leftovers to an airtight container and refrigerate for up to 4 days.

How to reheat: Reheat the dip in the microwave for 1 to 2 minutes or until it’s warm. You can also pop it in the oven at 375F for 10 minutes or until bubbly. Add a little bit of liquid if it’s too thick from storage and top it with more cheese and garnish.

How to freeze: Keep the baked or unbaked dip in a freezer-safe bag or container and freeze it for up to 3 months. Thaw it overnight when it’s ready for consumption before baking or reheating.
