Description
With a perfectly crisp crunch and a slightly salty flavor, these Homemade Baked Potato Chips are so much better than the prepackaged chips at the store. Since they're baked, they're also lower in fat, making them a healthier alternative to serve with your favorite burgers or sandwiches without compromising on taste!
Ingredients
- 2 medium potatoes (Yukon Gold Potatoes or Russet Potatoes)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400F. Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper. Set aside.
- Use a mandolin slicer or a knife to slice potatoes into very thin slices, about ⅛ thick. Use a paper towel to pat the potato slices completely dry.
- In a large mixing bowl, add potato slices, olive oil, salt and garlic powder. Toss well to coat evenly.
- Arrange the potatoes in a single layer on the lined baking sheet and bake until golden brown and crispy, about 25 minutes. Flip them once halfway through baking.
- Serve immediately or store for later.
Notes
How to store: Store leftover chips in an airtight container at room temperature for 2-3 days. Cool completely first to avoid steam, which will cause the chips to become soft.
How to reheat: If you prefer warm chips, bake the leftovers on a sheet tray at 350 degrees F for 3-5 minutes to make them hot and crispy again.
