Description

Golden Milk Turmeric Latte is an Indian herbal tea that is quick and easy to make, loaded with natural soothing properties, and great for immunity.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups milk, dairy or non-dairy
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground turmeric
  • 1-2 teaspoons fresh gingergrated
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • pinch of ground black pepper
  • 2 teaspoons honey or maple syrup (or more, if needed)

Instructions

  1. In a small saucepan, whisk together milk, turmeric, ginger, cinnamon, and black pepper. Heat over medium heat until starting to boil.
  2. Turn the heat down to low and simmer for 5 minutes. Remove from heat and add maple syrup (if using). Taste and adjust for sweetness and flavor. Add more turmeric, ginger, cinnamon, or sweetener based on your personal preference.
  3. Pour the drink through a fine mesh sieve or strainer to remove any lumps. If you substitute fresh ginger for ground ginger, then you can skip this step.
  4. Divide the turmeric latte into two cups and serve warm, or store in the refrigerator and serve cold over ice.
