Description

Baked ricotta is creamy, smooth, and flavorful. This delicious warm dip is packed with Parmesan and seasoned with dried herbs for the ultimate cheesy dip experience. It’s an easy to prepare appetizer (5 minutes of prep!) that is perfect to serve during the holidays — or any time of the year!

Ingredients

  • 15 ounces whole milk ricotta cheese
  • 2 large eggs
  • 3/4 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
  • ½ teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • ¼ teaspoon red pepper flakes

For serving (optional):

  • olive oil
  • fresh parsley, finely chopped
  • sliced bread, toasted
  • crackers
  • veggies

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400 F.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine ricotta, eggs, 1 cup Parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning, and red pepper flakes. Stir to combine.
  3. Transfer mixture into a small baking dish (1.5 quart baking dish). Thank
  4. Bake for 30 minutes until the ricotta is puffy and golden brown.
  5. Serve warm with a drizzle of olive oil on top and fresh herbs. Serve with toasted bread, crackers, and/or veggies.

Notes

How to store: Transfer leftover baked ricotta to an airtight container or cover the serving dish tightly with plastic cling wrap and refrigerate for up to 1 week. It is not recommended to freeze ricotta.

How to reheat: Reheat leftovers in a 300F preheated oven for 10-20 minutes until warm.
